Job Title: Technical Support Manager

Role: Permanent

Our client has been established for almost 20 years in the software development industry, designing automation and sales configuration software used by businesses of all shapes and sizes within multiple industries.

They're now looking for an enthusiastic driven individual who is technical minded, has an interest in technology and has an excellent understanding in engineering fundamentals. These traits will be key in successfully engaging and managing their Technical Support Team.

Primary Duties:

  • You will report directly to the CEO
  • Manage their Re-seller Technical Support team to proactively provide 2nd line support to their Re-sellers, who in turn are supporting the end users of our software
  • Input into the development stage of the company's growth and will impact strategy and tactics
  • Handle case escalations for technically complex cases
  • Allocate work to support team members
  • Perform regular team performance reviews
  • Must be able to handle 'curve balls' and use initiative
  • Use and test the very latest versions of our Design Automation software

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a technical management role
  • Excellent understanding of CAD packages: Solidworks or Inventor etc
  • Educated in the understanding of Engineering Fundamentals is key
  • Working in PDM, ERP, previous Technical Support or Customer Services is desirable
