Solid People are delighted to be working with our client who specialise in the communication of brand identity through three-dimensional design. Our client undertakes projects on behalf of premium brands and of retailers in both the domestic and the travel-retail channels. As a result of prolonged growth, they require a Graphic Designer / Artworker with experience within the furniture industry.

The Role

As a Graphic Designer / Artworker your primary role will be the creation of production artwork for both high end 3D retail furniture, soft-copy Toolkits and occasionally simple adverts.

The successful candidate will be fast, accurate and have an understanding of production techniques (especially production of physical retail furniture).

It would be advantageous, but not essential, to have knowledge of 3ds Max and / or Solidworks, as these are their core software platforms. In the spectrum of creativity vs technical ability, technical ability is essential and creativity a very nice to have. Finally, If you have knowledge and ability to look after their website it would be ideal, but again not essential.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Must be experienced in the use of Adobe Creative suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Ideally experienced in the use of 3D Studio Max.
  • Must have furniture artwork experience. Those with retail fit-out of interior design experience would still be suitable.
  • Those familiar with SolidWorks would be great but this is not an essential skill for the role.
