Customer Support Engineer

We are working with our client who is a world leader in the design and manufacture of specialist robotic camera systems used in the broadcast sector. All of their robotics systems are designed and manufactured in their own facility based in Greater London.
As a result of continued growth, our client is now looking to hire a Customer Support Engineer.
-The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate clear technical engineering/service experience, ideally with customer-facing responsibilities. They need to be motivated, professional and comfortable working on customer sites, representing the company at all times.
-They will be happy working with sophisticated electro-mechanical systems and enjoy engaging with customers of all types all over the world.
-The role requires participation in system testing and accepting within their manufacturing facility, then on site at customers wherever they are to install and commission within the customer's wider broadcast system. As well as a high level of technical competence covering mechanical, electronic and software configuration skills, good customer liaison skills are essential.
-Broadcast industry experience is not essential although advantageous. What is important is someone with a good level of general technical capability, ideally covering electronic and mechanical systems, in a low-volume/high-value environment
- Each product configuration is often tailored to the customer's particular requirement so the role provides a varied range of challenges and experiences.
The position is office based, although frequent travel is a key part of the job to worldwide destinations within UK, Europe, APAC and North America.
